What is community service? And how many ways can we serve the community? This little video shows a variety of the countless ways ISM students are making a difference (large & small). There is so much more that could be added to this little video, but it's a good start!
4th Annual English Summer School Program - March 2015
Local Myanmar children who attend government school are on their summer holiday from March to June. So, the ISM middle school Community Service team decided to sponsor a neighborhood outreach two week English Summer School Program. This program was held at the International School of Myanmar from March 23 to April 3, 2015 from 1 - 4 pm Mon. - Fri. and benefited children aged 6 - 14 who live in the local neighborhood around the International School of Myanmar.
Village Middle School Visit - September 2014
This new middle school will serve students grades 6 - 9 in Kyindamin Village which is about 30 minutes by boat from Pyapone in the Ayyerawaddy Delta region of Myanmar. Cyclone Nargis devastated this village in May 2008. Since then ISM Community Service, along with many friends and family of Todd & Meghan have contributed to rebuilding the elementary school and now this new middle school.

Hope Center Orphanage in Dala - October 2013
The ISM Middle School CS Orphanage Group visited this small orphanage of about 25 children which rests in a village just across the river from Yangon, Myanmar. As you see ISM students spending one on one time with the children you will see our goal of quality, not quantity as we build friendships and interact. Thanks for watching!
Olive Garden Orphanage Visit - December 2013
This is the ISM Community Service's 6th visit with Olive Garden Orphanage in Mawbii, Myanmar. Our goal is to interact, share ideas, music, games, and to develop a long lasting relationship with children who are so welcoming. Watch as you see our friendships grow in this short video. Help-Portrait - December 2013
ISM Community Service organized the our 1st Help Portrait event. With the guidance and support of the YIS community service program, we were able to provide family portraits to 28 families. The families who were invited to have their portraits taken live in a village next to ISM. They are wonderfully kind people who would not normally have the opportunity to have something so simple and precious as a family portrait. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported the 1st Community Service Help Portrait event!
Village Middle School Project - History Video
Introducing the ISM Village Middle School Project in the Ayerrawady Delta Region of Myanmar. This video gives background information about how this project came to be a priority for the International School of Myanmar's Community Service Team.
This school will be an add-on to the original Esme Elementary School which was built to replace a school that was destroyed during Cyclone Nargis in May 2008. Thank you to everyone who supported and donated to make this project a reality!
