High School Community Service
CS is a student led/teacher supported organization that dedicates its time and effort towards making a positive change in the community in and around Yangon. We do this by focusing on a hands-on service that lets us go out in the field and interact with people from all walks of life.
HealthcareIf you are the type of person who is interested in the well-being of others and the effect it has on lives; if you like tending to those with physical or mental impairments; if you want to encourage people at their worst of times, this is the perfect group for you. We will visit public children’s hospitals, clinics, and schools around Yangon and educate both young children and adults alike on taking care of themselves in terms of nutrition, diseases, and basic first aid. Be the heartbeat of our community by interacting with all kinds of people who need support to create an impact on their lives.

OrphanageEver gaze into the eyes of an orphan and long for connection? Here’s your chance. This group focuses mainly one orphanage in Wunluwun Nikarya Aung Chan Thar, Hlaing Tharyar township. Trips will usually be on weekends from 8AM- 12 PM, and we will donate supplies, play with the orphans, teach them English, sing, do art, fun activities and enjoy each other's company. Most of our meetings will be spent on preparing for trips – buying necessary supplies, preparing activities, planning out a timetable for the trip as well as preparing for fundraisers. The Alter EcoThe Alter Eco’s primary goal is to cultivate an environmentally aware community around ISM. Our main focuses are educating the local community, promoting sustainable products, and carrying out trash clean ups.
The Alter Eco is fully devoted to creativity. Members are able to come up with their own project ideas and share it with the group. All ideas are respected by everyone in the group, and we work together to make the ideas come to life. |
C.H.I.L.DThe name C.H.I.L.D stands for Creative Hours in Life-skill Development. With a passion to lend a hand towards the vulnerable communities around us, our members work specifically with kids that do not have adequate access to formal education or have a likely chance of being pulled out from school in the near future such as children living in slums, children working in the streets, orphans or refugees. We educate kids on fundamental skills of safety, health and hygiene as well as environmental consciousness and social conduct that they may not be receiving from their current environment. We aim to equip them with life-skills that they can apply throughout their lifetimes.
