-Help Portrait: 2013
On December 7, 2013, ISM Community Service joined in a worldwide event called Help Portrait. It's a simple concept, but powerfully uplifting for everyone involved. We simply take a photo, print it, and give it away. That's how simple it is. The families on the receiving end of this simple gesture are grateful.
-Visit to Zabu Oak Shaung Nunnery- OCT. 2012
We taught the nuns English and Art. We also had fun with them by playing games and teaching them different sports. We also brought some donations such as food, stationary, etc. It was a memorable day filled with laughter and smiles.
-Art Store
We support some art supplies to the artistic students at nunnery, and we planned to make some postcards out of these beautiful works drawn by the students. moreover, we plan to build a small shop for them at their school to get some money for themselves.
-Bake Sales at school
We have a bake sale at our school every month. On that day, we bring some healthy foods from other stores and sell them back to the students with some profits. After the bake sale, we add all the profits we made during the bake sales to our CS funds, which are used to buy supplies and donations for people in need.
-Environmental Group's "Saving Air-Con Energy" Project
The students and teachers from our school do not bother to switch of the "Air-con", when they went back home, or went to other classes, so Environmental group is working on power point presentation and posters to raise awareness about how can we save energy, why it is important, and what the advantages of preserving energy are.
-Recycle Bins
Environmental Group has mentioned to the school that the students are wasting papers, they are not reusing or recycling them. So Environmental groups place the paper recycle bins in every classroom, and persuade everyone to recycle the papers.
-The BIG CLEANUP
Littering is the major Issue in our school environment, so Environmental group has decided to plan a trash pick-up day. On that day, we will pick up the trashes around the school, and check which categories have the most trashes. And later, we plan to raise more awareness about it within our school environment.
