Our Leadership Team was first established in September 2012 to create a sustainable service group. We meet every Thursday to find ways to support the CS groups, organize events and improve our leadership abilities.

I am truly thankful for having the opportunity to lead the whole of Community Service for this year and am immensely proud of what it has accomplished. I was able to lead a cabinet which went great lengths to carry out the Operation Water project that focuses on the installation of water related supplies in the drought stricken region of Chauk a neglected area in Myanmar's central dry zone. The members of the cabinet, with the support from group leaders, made this vision come true. ISM CS 2017-18 has successfully planned and funded the complete construction of the now functioning 5000-gallon mini water dam in the village of Win Lo where a hundred villagers. Leaders of CS has also led a fashion show team called La Magnifique that earned more funds for projects that lay ahead. I sincerely thank all the group leaders in Community Service who carried out their various plans with great diligence till the end. I couldn’t have asked for a more enthusiastic and passionately driven leadership group than the one I have worked together with this year.
Being a part of the High School Community Service team is so meaningful to me since it is not only a platform to directly contribute to the society in need but also a ladder which has developed me as an individual over the course of these four years. It has nurtured me and taught me the importance of empathy and sincere compassion that gives purpose to our lives. I highly encourage each one of you to give this organization a chance. You'll be able to experience what it means to serve and see the immense impact each action will have on the community around you. May the members of ISM Community Service Team continue to be not only big in numbers but big at heart as well.

Not a day goes by that I am not proud of all the efforts Community Service students put into making a difference in their community. It's wonderful to watch the community service program at ISM take on a life of its own. There is something unique going on here! I believe it's a combination of living where we live, and the ISM students, many of whom are raised by their parents to have a deep feeling of moral responsibility to not just sit back and allow things to go on as they are. That's what I love about it, we do not sit back and let poverty, poor education, neglected orphans, disabled children, and aged grandmas and grandpas exist without DOING something about it. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this unique, caring, giving, and loving community at ISM!
